Sad! Pistorious allegedly kills girlfriend! Stopping violence against women - One Billion Rising watch video

All across the globe women are continuously victimised and abused. Its amazing that women who are either someone's  mother, wife, or sister whom without their existence there will be no human race. Have become the object of ridicule and in some cultures worse than dogs. In India women are lynched set ablaze by husbands and mother in laws, last year a woman was publicly raped, sodomised and all her internal organs ruptured by men.

Last week we heard about the sad news of the  death of Reeva Steenkamp killed  by Olympic hero Pistorious, shot 4 times behind a bathroom door!. Stats has it that ONE IN THREE WOMEN ON THE PLANET WILL BE RAPED OR BEATEN IN HER LIFETIME.

A call to men and women to refuse to participate in the status quo until rape and rape culture ends
An act of solidarity, demonstrating to women the commonality of their struggles and their power in numbers
A refusal to accept violence against women and girls as a given
